Lenex Steel
Office Roles
Our nimble and purpose-driven office team helps shape projects that engage communities throughout the Midwest—and beyond. We focus on the following areas of expertise:Â
Project Management
Our project managers are the main point of contact from contract award through final installation. They coordinate between the shop, the field, and the client to keep projects on schedule, solve problems before they become issues, and make sure communication stays clear.
Operations
The operations team turns blueprints into steel. This team coordinates detailing, fabrication, quality control, and production scheduling to make sure every beam, column, and connection is built right and ships on time.
Business Development
Business Development focuses on building relationships with general contractors, developers, architects, and engineers to bring in new projects and strengthen partnerships. This team identifies opportunities, supports the sales process, and represents Lenex Steel within our market.
Estimating
Our estimators are quick to dive into project drawings and specs to develop accurate, competitive bids. They work closely with clients, engineers, and our internal teams during the pre-construction phase to ensure pricing reflects the real scope and complexity of the work.
Purchasing
Purchasing focuses on sourcing steel, materials, and supplies to keep fabrication on schedule. They manage vendor relationships, negotiate pricing, and coordinate with mills to lock in material availability when it matters most.
Finance & Accounting
Our folks in Finance & Accounting specialize in keeping the numbers straight whether it’s managing budgets, invoicing, payroll, and financial reporting. They track project costs, support strategic decisions, and make sure the business runs efficiently behind the scenes.
Human Resources
HR supports our people—from recruiting and onboarding to benefits, development, and recognition. They help create a workplace where people want to stay, grow, and do great work together.
Administrative
Administrative team members keep the office running smoothly. They coordinate communications, support day-to-day operations, and handle the behind-the-scenes work that helps every department stay organized and effective.
Marketing
Marketing tells the Lenex Steel story. This team builds our brand, creates content, manages social media and the website, and supports sales with proposals, presentations, and networking events.

Trade Roles
Our talented craftsmen make Lenex Steel possible. We’re dedicated to our trade and eager to welcome skilled tradespeople ready to make an impact. We’re always looking for:
Fabricator
Fabricators cut, fit, and weld structural steel to exact specifications. Working with blueprints and shop drawings, they bring precision and craftsmanship to every beam, column, and connection that leaves our facility.
Machine Operator
Machine Operators run CNC equipment, saws, drills, and other fabrication machinery to cut and process steel with precision. They set up jobs, monitor quality, and keep production moving efficiently and safely.
Material Handler
Material Handlers move steel throughout the shop—staging materials for fabrication, organizing inventory, and coordinating deliveries. They keep the workflow moving and make sure the right materials are in the right place at the right time.
Paint & Load
The Paint & Load team preps, coats, and finishes steel to meet project specifications, then safely loads materials for delivery. They ensure every piece is protected, looks professional, and ships on time.
Maintenance
Maintenance keeps our equipment running and our facility safe. They troubleshoot issues, perform repairs, and handle preventive maintenance on fabrication machinery, cranes, and building systems to minimize downtime and keep production on schedule.
Quality Control
Quality Control inspects steel at every stage of fabrication to ensure it meets specifications and industry standards. They catch issues before they leave the shop, protecting both our reputation and the success of every project.
Truck Driver
Truck Drivers safely transport structural steel from our facility to jobsites across the region. They coordinate deliveries, handle logistics, and represent Lenex professionally on the road and at every delivery.
